Privacy notice

This notice explains how TenderKeel ("we", "us") handles personal information under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and its 13 Information Privacy Principles (IPPs).

Who we are and how to contact us

TenderKeel is responsible for personal information collected through tenderkeel.co.nz and by email. Our privacy officer can be contacted at info@tenderkeel.co.nz.

What we collect and why

We collect only what we need to respond to enquiries and provide our services: your name, company, email address, any contact details you choose to give us, tender links, tender documents you share, and billing details. We use it to reply to you, scope and prepare briefs, deliver our services, invoice, and keep the records the law requires. We don't use it for unrelated purposes and we don't sell it.

How we collect it

We collect personal information directly from you, usually by email. This website does not use analytics, tracking cookies or third-party form services. The contact form opens your own email app; the website itself stores nothing. You don't have to give us personal information, but we can't respond or provide services without contact details.

Storage and security

Our email is hosted by Zoho Mail in its Australian data centre. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, use, change or disclosure, including access controls and secure passwords.

Disclosure, including overseas

We don't disclose personal information except to provide our services, where you have agreed, or where the law requires. Because our email is stored in Australia, personal information is held by Zoho, our service provider, outside New Zealand. Australia's privacy law gives protection comparable to New Zealand's. Tender documents you share are summarised for you only and not redistributed.

Retention

For clients, we keep enquiries, correspondence and briefs for 7 years to meet tax record-keeping requirements. Enquiries that don't go ahead are kept for 2 years and then deleted.

Access and correction

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, by emailing info@tenderkeel.co.nz. We will respond within 20 working days.

Complaints

If you have a concern, please contact us first at info@tenderkeel.co.nz. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
